October at a glance...
The cluster of planets in Virgo forming part of the grand Triad that draws its energy from Uranus in Aries is the highlight of October. Uranus is the higher octave of Mars and rules technology and breakthroughs in communication, sometimes shockingly. With Mars and Venus converging on each other at the same time as Mercury moves in front of the sun there should be all sorts of shocks resonating throughout the world but in particular North Korea. The Hermit kingdom is named well, as Virgo is the traditional ruler of the Hermit card in the Tarot, and decisions about the way the world manages its states will center on this little Crab. By mid October we may see some breakthroughs as Venus overtakes Mars and joins with the Sun. Jupiter is the planet of metabolism and management and we see it administering in the diplomatic sphere of Libra and opposing the innovations of Uranus in the sphere of the Self (Aries). Jupiter is the glue of human potential holding back the forces of destruction (Pluto in Capricorn, Uranus in Aries, Mars in Virgo), and being enlivened and strengthened by the forces of compassion (Venus in Virgo, Neptune in Pisces). On the 19th to 22nd Mercury, the Sun and the Moon will all join forces with Jupiter as it moves into Scorpio in its opposition to Uranus which calls for the use of its most terrifying weapons. With Pluto exerting enormous influence through systemic shakedowns, both in the artificial social worlds of humankind, and in the natural world through earthquake and volcano, the world is in for a torrid time for the next six weeks or so. It wont be till this time next year before Uranus enters the more benign realm of Taurus and ushers in a more peaceful solution to State collapse although many of the darker aspects to globalised administration will have been learned in the meantime.
House Influences
1. Self (Initiating Will) : Mars and Uranus (Higher Octave of Mars) are working in harmony to purge issues related to self-discipline (Virgo) and Self-belief (Aries) with Saturn in the house of goals and visions providing the necessary restraint to those forces which could be destructive if self-discipline or belief are lacking. Life can sometimes have a shocking way of telling us what we need.
2. Money/ Work (Fixing Power) : Venus is a champion for the beautiful things in life in Taurus, for civilization and comfort, sensuality and peace, and whilst Mars is spoiling the party in Virgo by constantly moving the goalposts Venus is still providing the necessary attractions, so any opportunities to advance income or purpose is well aspected up to the end of October..
3. Communication (Moving Mind) : The house of communication is especially influential this month with Mercury teaming up with Mars and Venus and the Sun to open choices around health and participation in assuming responsibility for changes to the physical body or more abstract bodies like work institutions or bodies of work etc. Be alert for changes to health regimes at the end of the month.
4. Home and Community (Initiating Feeling) : The Moon teams up with the Sun to work with Jupiter as it enters the house of Sex, Emotions and Moods at the end of October to really throw a light on old, stable relationships, both revealing deficiencies and gifts and allowing for change and expansion. Not a good time for secrets or secret plans.
5. Expressive Self-Belief (Fixing Will) : The Sun in the house of Justice, Relationships and Bonds brings to light the desire for heart to heart, genuine self expression, and those who are confident their voice is heard will take heart from the positive influences of Mercury as it around the 19th and from Venus a little later. Be honest, but be brave, no news is sometimes not good news.
6. Health (Moving Power) : Mercury in its ruling house means health issues become obvious and either healing or building for future health is likely to be planned once difficulties are revealed. Denial could hurt you once Mercury reaches the house of Balance (Libra) next month.
7. Relationships and Bonds (Initiating Thought) : Venus is moving through the house of Health which is ameliorating aches and pains in relationship agreements. Forgiveness for disagreement needs to be matched by greater compromise in any relationship where both partners need each other to flourish.
8. Sex, Emotions and Moods (Fixing Feelings) : Mars combining with Venus in the house of Health brings both danger and excitement to the mix and yet Pluto is off on its own in the house of Investments and Securities making that destabilizing adrenalin rush all the more volatile. This is the time for taking that wild plunge from the safety of a good plan.
9. Goals and Visions (Moving Will) : Jupiter in the house of Relationships and Bonds is administering the expansion of rights and freedoms and pushing old systems to breaking point. Still Justice will be done as new balances take effect and reveal how far any goals and visions you hold can really go. Get out your calculators and do the maths before you buy into anything. With Uranus going Ape in the house of the Self changes to agreements will be more evident after the middle of the month, but Jupiter is fighting hard to make sure Uranus's destructive intent is given due respect and in maintaining a secure passage toward the future.
10. Investments and Securities (Initiating Power) : Pluto slowly works its way through this house changing the nature of security for everyone. Whilst Uranus moves through the house of Self expect that a lot of the innovations in any security that comes from technologies or electrical adaptions will affect the sense of security the Self has on a personal level. A strong working relationship with your own sense of personal self security is very valuable for the next year at least. This month with Mars storming through the house of Health you might find the inspiration to make those changes to your health that really help your sense of personal security.
11. Friendships and Agreements (Fixing Thoughts): Uranus is moving through the house of Self and as it comes close to the House of Work/Possessions will become increasingly shocking and innovative in getting the message of the changes needed in the Self to meet the changes being made by Pluto to Securities and Investments. A flexible mind means tolerance without neglecting boundaries, by the time Mercury meets the Sun in Libra late October having a strong belief in yourself will help any shocks to friendships and agreements you have established already.
12 : Spirituality and Release (Moving Feelings) : With Neptune in its home house the work of compassion is always more urgent and full of meaning, especially as Venus is allowing for greater love for the physical body as it moves through Virgo. This is the time for reinforcement of physical routines and disciplines and for helping the physical health of those near you.
