November at a glance...
The opposition of Mars and Uranus at the end of the month promises to bring a string of major breakthroughs in long standing issues of justice and fairness in important issues such as the freedom of the individual within the edifices of State and community. This month will see a build up of tensions around world judiciaries in dealing with the uprising of changes wrought by the influence of Uranus in the house of the Self. Remember the State, amorphic as it is, is the epitome of order, however benign as it may seem, and uses the violence of Mars to contain any element of Selfhood that it perceives as threatening to the order that is. The rise of Self aggrandizing leaders throughout the world is a reflection of the influence of Uranus in the house of Self as it applies all its ruthless tools to bring about change in that arena of human experience, and Mars in the house of Justice and Balance opposing this force is like applying sandpaper to a wound. The presence of Venus in the house of Justice and Balance is a but a moment of reprieve, helping to contain any extreme decisions made by the executives of State actors, and some progressive decisions concerning the freedom of the individual will still be defended through the judiciaries. However Venus soon passes into the house of Sex, Emotions and Moods and joins Jupiter mid November which will redirect the focus of harmony and love on the expansion and management of the human condition, Venus will no longer be holding up the interests of harmony within the judiciary and Mars will have full play to weaponize that area of human endeavor, however it will still be playing its part in ameliorating the consequences of the judicial system being used as a weapon of State interests as it provides compassion and an increased sense of world community to the increasingly desperate needs of the victims of ruthless State polity. This will be nevertheless perceived as a surrender, and with far reaching consequences, of the rights of the individual. Needless to say Jupiter's opposition to Uranus, albeit a weak opposition, as it expands and revitalizes the means of reproduction and attraction, will be nonetheless dangerous to all human life and for which the presence of Venus is life-saving. While Mercury is moving through this house (of Sex, emotions and moods) expect communication to be rather more intuitive and ephemeral than straight forward, and just adding that extra bit of danger to the mix, especially with minds that react quickly to phenomena and have a largesse sense of Self. With Pluto still some way off finishing its deconstructive work in the house of Structures and Securities this is not the time for extinction yet, that moment is yet to be faced and may never come at all, we all hope.
House Influences
1. Self (Initiating Will) : Uranus is a deconstructive force for the Self and can be a bit shocking. With Mars providing an opposition in the house of Relationships and Bonds expect that issues surrounding what is fair or not within relationships to go through a powerful transition. Make sure you know how to negotiate fairly and listen well, your relationships may depend on how well you understand what the risks are of storming through the needs of others without due consideration.
2. Money/ Work (Fixing Power) : Venus enters the house of Sex, moods and emotions mid November, but until then she is helping to balance the deficit to the Self when providing for others. After she joins Jupiter in Scorpio the desire for fairness edges off and the desire to move into changing the emotional structure of what brings pleasure and security will become intense. Remember the old axiom, Short term pleasure brings long term pain/ Short term pain brings long term pleasure, and you will find this month rewarding.
3. Communication (Moving Mind) : Mercury is moving through the house of Moods this month and opening up talk of the sexual divides, although the talk will not last long and neither any decision made within it. Communicating about life changing experiences and phenomena will seem to culminate very quickly this month, so get deep, just remember this is the house of Death as well, so don't be worried that scouring around the human heart will just be traumatic, it may be revealing, just not long lasting.
4. Home and Community (Initiating Feeling) : When the moon touches on the scathing energies of Uranus in the house of Self at the end of November the mood of conciliation provided by its passage through Pisces on the previous 3 days will seem to disappear and the home and community will seem less like a place of inclusion and more like a battleground. Until then though take advantage of the presence of Venus in the house of relationships bringing strength to bonds that make the home and community tick along.
5. Expressive Self-Belief (Fixed Will) : The Sun in the house of Sex, moods and emotions brings all sorts of secretive social and sexual needs to the surface by way of spontaneous self expression. This is not an easy combination for anyone who has suffered trauma in this arena, but it is an opportunity to face old demons through expressing agency and power borne from suffering. Go easy on partners this month if your will is generally dominant.
6. Health (Moving Power) : Mercury stays mostly within the house of Goals and Visions after a brief stint in Scorpio, which means that communications will shift from secretive and taboo subjects to how to overcome obstacles and reach high pinnacles. If health issues were revealed last month, the signs show a brief grief period will pass into planning and action very quickly, so jump into action around your health even if the moods have not seemed to pass yet.
7. Relationships and Bonds (Initiating Thought) : Venus combines with Jupiter mid November to provide comfort in a time of expanded needs around the emotional investments people make with each other. She stays in her own house till then adding harmony and beauty to the mix of reasons to share bonds with others. Note the change of tension after Venus moves into the house of Sex, moods and Emotions, and remember those reasons.
8. Sex, Emotions and Moods (Fixing Feelings) : Its all happening in this house this month, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and the Sun all making their mark and forcing the Human eye inward to check which feelings of sweetness have turned foolish, or which have become cruel. Know your own feelings before assuming you know what others are feeling, it will be an important time to be sure you are honest about yourself.
9. Goals and Visions (Moving Will) : Jupiter is busy expanding and helping to increase the management of moods and feelings as well as creating room for conciliation and awareness of 'the other' this month so expect that a lot of goals and visions will be placed fully into developing relationships and understanding communication breakdowns or breakthroughs. When Venus joins Jupiter mid November the time will be optimal for agreements about sexual or emotional arrangements to be initiated and followed through.
10. Investments and Securities (Initiating Power) : Saturn is wreaking havoc in the house of goals and visions as its constricting force is a major reality check when Pluto is causing uncertainty about the stability of enduring institutions whilst it deconstructs the whole nature of what we all consider security to be about. That reality check is going to be around for a while yet, so taking risks with investments will still carry a big price. When Mercury reaches Saturn in late November much will be revealed about the risks of big ventures and whether the groundwork has been done.
11. Friendships and Agreements (Fixing Thoughts): With Mars in the house of Justice and Uranus in the house of self in opposition to each other expect lots of fireworks until the opposition is dropped, mid November, and then a relative calm emerging around strong bonds, weak agreements will have been tested severely so be glad of Neptune's influence in compassionate Pisces to be a willing guide toward forgiveness and flexibility.
12 : Spirituality and Release (Moving Feelings) : The house of Spirituality and Release is sometimes a place of sadness and mourning, but death is only for the living to mourn, so the presence of Mars in the house of balance will help keep the work of fulfilling the consequences of any passing alive and strong. The moon adds its touch of melancholy at the beginning and the end of the month as it proceeds through this house, informing us of our hidden emotions.
